Sausage & Cream Cheese Hash Brown Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients:

1 lb breakfast sausage
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 (30 oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
6 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Directions:

Cook the Sausage:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
Stir in the cream cheese until melted and fully combined with the sausage.
Layer the Ingredients:

Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Spread the thawed hash browns evenly in the bottom of the dish.
Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the hash browns.
Spread the sausage and cream cheese mixture evenly on top.
Prepare the Egg Mixture:

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Assemble and Bake:

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers in the baking dish.
Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden on top.
Serve:

Allow the casserole to cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
